wk 5 of intern is coming to an end n cny is coming! happiness hahaha bt unlike e last few years i really dun have time for spring cleaning this yr hahaha my room is in a mess!

intern is ok so far except for tt one n only time. after tt evt was quite ok. e ppl there are nice. dey had this renuion lunch for e company..lou hei n buffet! yummy! when i went for 2nd round there was no more nice food left so dey all laughed at me for eatin so uber slowly.. n there was ang bao for everyone hahaha so lucky. then tt day dey had a bdae celebration. there was this super nice home made durian cake which i ate 2 slices. after tt dey offered ba gua..oh my oh my..hahaha i wonder im there to eat or learn..

then recenly i went for mr low's twins' 1st month celebration..little lyeton and jaden.they are so adorable.n e buffet was yummy n! we gt gobi cakes oh no! hahaha n cny is comin..all e cny goodies are wavin frantically at me, askin me to gobble em down hahaha ive become such a glutton recently..

back to cny..its a time to meet up with relatives, to eat n talk, n of course to collect ang bao haha n oso to reflect on e year before. we learn from mistakes, stand up after we fell, laugh everyday to keep troubles at bay, cry when things get too much to handle. our thinkin slowly changes as we go thru more life experiences. im glad for being who i am.

2009 was great..attended some major meet ups
10 years since i left pri sch..im grateful for those who organised e pri 6'99 bbq..it was a damn big event n e outcome was gd
10 years of frenship with e 2/5-ians..although many last min pang sehed bt still touched by e ppl who turned up, touched tt we can still tok so happily after so many years
4/1 gatherin at yh's place was great..great food, great companion, great pics..ppl i haven really seen since jc..ppl mingling everywhere =)
last sch exams of my life..went thru uni campus life with e gers..ups and downs, pms, crappiness in lts, gossips, irritatin profs like tt steve z_ _ _..glad tt we have all come this far
im glad tt ive made new frens in 2009, tt everyone is still in contact and meetin up every nw and then, tt ppl tot of me when dey feel sad, tt frens are willing to share their unhappiness with me, frens rmb and wished me on special ocassion...

wkend passes by so quickly..last min shoppin trip with sarah at bugis before headin down to a fren's father's wake. gt frightened by a dog n cried in fright. i wish all dogs will stay far far away from me haha

went to work at a baseball tournament today. many little kids. so talented. so pro. some shorter den 130 bt whack e ball with such force n consistency la. admire em really. felt like i was in another country e whole day. the kids there were mainly jap. there is a great diff btw singapore n jap kids. they are so carefree, runnin ard in e field, playin laughin happily. i suddenly realise tt singapore kids are nt as free as the rest of e kids. they are so poor thing. n e family cohesion btw jap families. damn zai. e parents rootin for e kids out in e field. e kids singing n cheerin their team mates were uber cute la.. all so small size n singin in uber high pitch voices. oh my! melted

i wan find a jap bf hahaha so tt my kids can learn base ball at bcs next time n would nt e left out LOL such a fun day

today was e only day tt i really get to rest at home to replenish my energy. i feel stressed n tired. dun ask me y. mini fyp. intern. tuition. sch work. evt after tuition i feel tt one of my bld vessels had burst n my brain is too clogged up to think. dun tell me my life aint stress compared to urs. diff ppl have diff stress tolerance level n mine isnt high. i admit tt. just let me be alone when i really want to. dun come n bug me. i mean it. i guess i didnt run enough to release evt. shud have carried on till im entirely drained. i guess its just e typical me. gettin pissed at every little thing again. whatever.

left with e last 6 weeks in sch. kind of sad to have to leave e sheltered environment n ppl i noe to enter a new environment.

e room is still in a half clean state cuz i simply cant get e feel of hw my things shud go haha took a break today i must say im still in e camp mood. will last awhile ba. so i guess im tryn nt to tok to much in case many will feel bored by my limited topic..

sch's startin real soon. kind of dread it. yr 4. seems so old. only left with half a yr more of lect. went e freshmen talk today. it reminded me of e 1st day i entered uni. with siyin n by. listenin to e prof talk about AUs n stuff. e lightin up ceremony. it seems so recent yet so distant. e feelin of being a freshie. excitement. thinkin uni will be uber fun. haha. cursin at our prof cuz dey will say things like go home n read ur tb, lovin profs like xing bengang cuz he would jump in lect in order to reach e top of e screen, gd n bad ppl weve seen. more gd den bad im glad of cuz. n now in a few days' time i will be a yr 4 undergrad. most of us takin diff mods. well, i will definitely miss e girls. simple things like hw we laugh at zr n her coke light, hw we copy from each others' notes. sweet memories.

back from e camp

i really enjoyed myself..thanks ppl =) somehow i always thought that e 1988 ppl will be childish. some sec sch impression..but they managed to change my impression thru this camp. those kids really really are impressive. although camp was only for 5 days, it felt like i was in another world for a yr. was disorientated from my life after we break camp. im glad i agreed to accompany xuexin. haha

realised alot of things. they claimed that they learnt alot of things from us, but truth is i learnt alot from em too. some how, if theres no htht btw frens, e relationship btw frens will always stop at there. just frens. htht improve many things btw frens, bringing e friendship to a higher level. to watch em to be able to open up was amazing. to be trusted n talked to. i really feel like their big sister haha i always tot that i wouldnt meet any more buddies in ntu. but i guess that is ridiculous now. u have to take e 1st step to make frens. u have to make continuous effort to keep e friendship, to be trusted. n most importantly u have to be brave enough to trust. so many things. haha thanks kids. i will try to keep in touch with u ppl. hope things go smoothly for u kids in uni =)

im glad we won e most enthu og although most of e time we were just busy cam whoring haha

lots of things happened but so lazy to update haha kind of forgot when was e last time i update too. marina barrage, siyin's bdae, tennis with tennis gers n cousins, met up with bugger, late night conversations..somehow everything made my hols seems so much more fruitful with meet ups n talks. really miss all e ppl out there n i feel bad that my days are always packed n e time i can spend with ppl is so limited

just back from badminton. haha e last time i played i couldnt hit e ball at all. glad tt at least i managed to hit e ball today LOL so easily satisfied. miss playin all sorts of ball games in jj last time. from squash to table tennis to volleyball haha miss gettin thrashed by mr low in tennis. his powerful serve that goes bam n all u get to do is move ur racket n pray hard e ball touches it n bounce back to him haha n he was always makin us run ard e court like mad women. still rmb hw me n sx will fight uber hard to get 1 pt when we 2 play against him haha it might be a damn ugly drop shot or damn tyco shot tt barely touched e line but we will scream n laugh happily evt we get tt 1 pt haha i bet nobody could laugh as loudly as me when i miss e ball or scream as loudly as me evt e ball approaches me woo hopefully i get to play tennis again soon haha

cant stop sneezing after bathin grrrrrrrrrrrr i feel so old cuz i cant stop fallin sick e sore throat kept me from tidyin up my room cuz all i can do is slp. its nw still super messy grrrrrrr messy = me ssy haha nw den i realise. n i cant reach all e way to e back for e top shelves! even when i stood on a chair OMG! tidyin my room is so so so so taxing climbin up n down e chair its nt tt im short. its just tt e cupboard is too tall haha

its been 8 years. i didnt realise tt till i saw l3's fb. hmmm if u were still ard, im sure u would be so happy to see hw deep a mark uve left in many hearts. ur pics in wallets n friendster n fb. we used to talk almost every morning in sec 1 while waitin for e shutters to open. accquiantance. but i rmb 1 of ur trademark action after u perspired. i rmb ur smile. i rmb hw everyone cried. im sure u r watchin over all ur close frens. do cont to watch over em =) n i hope u r doin fine wherever u are

im glad our paths crossed

ten years ago, i rushed frantically into css cuz i was late. e one n only time i was late for sec sch. searched for my class n settled down at e back of e queue, just in time for e national anthem. that v 1st day, i met my bestie joan low. we would pass notes n play with water in class, she would cry almost everytime we gt back our test papers, we cold warred for wad reason i couldnt rmb. we only found each other again yrs after we grad. i was seated somewhere near fr n he became my sis soon after. match making plus teasing (heavy duty). tp e ah beng. i didnt dare to talk to him in class cuz of his golden hair. n fierce face. aishah my fave partner for home econs n d n t. even rong zuo for his song n fave hobby of eatin rubbish n diggin his nose.

i was happy back den. e real happy go lucky ssy. our chalet we had almost full attendance. wonderful. we were all so kiddy n childish. life was great except for something. something which freddie n darius asked durin one of e dinners. we drifted. i avoided. i feared. i teared in class. nv explained myself. ssy changed. depressed. low self confidence. no sense of self security. hate myself to e core. i c so many things about myself i didnt realise. i dun believe anyone will love me, anyone will befriend me. i needed words n actions. drained everyone ard. insecurity can nv be healed. but optimistic n pms brought me this far. i dun hate anyone. i cant bring myself to talk normally though uve smsed. im sorry for tt. some scars remain despite time tryin to heal em. too many images etched deep inside. i guess if some idiot nv mention anything to u, u wouldnt need to feel bad too. but i do miss talkin to u like last time in class

some guessed n knew n understood. im glad for e encouragement i was given. brought me out. jia esp.

after next wk, we will be more than half way thru research! yeahness. but haven really done much n because of e need to take a day off on wed, mon n tues might be busy. grrrrrrrrrrrr i hope i dun screw up cuz screwin up means wasting time. i hope pms dun find me so soon this month

finally met my mentor. lucky for me she is uber nice n patient. if nt i think i will drop mini fyp st away. haha class schedule is out. if mini fyp is pass/fail, i only need to worry about 9AUs hahaha woohoo! n if i take e non examinable paper, den i only need to sit for 2 papers! hahaha k im thinkin too far. i just wan concentrate research nw.

suppered last night.. really reminded of e chalet at sentosa. when we sat at e beach n talk durin n took photos in e middle of e night. e breeze n e voices ard. relaxing ambience. as i listened to their voices, there was this feeling. we've all grown up. changed. there's something diff about each of em. yet they are still e same old ppl. our thinkings r so diff from e past. e same feelin tt ive gt when i looked back n realised hw much diff e girls have become. perhaps as we grow older, we are able to pry deeper into our older friends' inner world. kinda glad to have a deeper understandin of em.

really miss e sec sch days. from sec 1 to 4. e nonsense in class during lessons. water splashing was a must during recess. palm prints on uniforms after toilet break. crapping time. goin home with friends. non stop chit chat on e phone n face to face. e short guys who love to quarrel non stop. noisy sis n weiming behind me in class. ng say seng. e so many rumours. ni hao du. sports day. crothers. upper sec. crappin in classroom durin recess n early mornings before sch stars. n serious talks too. darling! big blue cone (some body's fave). clock in classroom. peanut baby. toilet gang. combine humans with veena who must ask me every lesson wad time i slept e previous night. hand-like-leg. bio lessons. somebody n teo. e marchin up n down e slope. singing in e classroom with mrs wee. campfires. lunch at jec. enrollment day. POP. 1 gazillion billion other things. cant possibly list evt down n i refuse to mention names to prevent myself from gettin whacked

some how i will nv get sick of talkin bout all these memories with e many diff ppl.

as we grow older, no of meet ups become lesser. we realise more n more ugly sides of humans. no of true friends we have might decrease. but we learn tt its e quality of e company tt matters. nt e quantity. that is wad makes friends so special. to feel no need to put on a mask ard em, no need to build a wall ard oneself.

exams finally ended yesterday. a wk of madness. several of headache. finally its over. finally laughed like mad yesterday, sang n ate heartily without a bout laggin sch work. didnt realise hw stressed i was for e last wk till i was finally able to let go of evt. heavenly. too bad no b n j cone

no more muggin with sarah tham. no more runnin into mx in e 180 queue, runnin into joan in sch. n i havent ate dinner in sch with shimin n hui min. 3 yrs of uni life zoomed past just like tt. seems just like yesterday when everyone was askin everyone about each other's A levels results n e course are r gona apply for. n now some of em are steppin into their workin world soon. wonder hw diff would it be. would be harder to meet up i guess, conv might differ. would we have nothing to talk about since we've lesser things in common nw? i dun like changes. sobz

n soon it will be us out in e workin world. might lose contact with more ppl esp e guys who r still schoolin. so ultimately e no of frens we have will just keep decreasing? haha cant imagine tt. but e workin world seems so scary. i dun really wan go into it. just enjoy student life while i can ba. cant believe its endin soon.

worst nightmare today..grrrrrr..312which totally cmi..after tt, a 1 hour lunch break. after tt, intensive muggin for astro which was neglected due to 312..head was uber heavy durin astro..but finally! its over! i dun hate ppl..cuz if i hate em, i will start to pity em..but mr zhou i strongly dislike u! baddie! i pray i can clear e module. pls let me clear it. i dun need fantastic grades. i just want to clear it. i mugged hard. just tt being stubborn, i spent all my time on e uber hard qns, neglectin those tt can b scored. i guess this is just another weird habit of mine..like e many others discovered by e gers..

im gettin tired easier n easier. those papers just work like a lullaby. sending me to slp e moment i look at em. its another challenge for me to go through, e start of another new chapter, with so much thoughts swimming ard. i need to do some self reflection again. before e thoughts eat me up. i can barely hold my temper nowadays, gettin irritated at e slightest stuff. m i really growin up? or m i being childish n selfish, wantin things to go my way. every little thing. is it me over thinking? or are things really like that? im pissing myself off. shoppin like mad to take e annonyance out of me. i woke up in pain. saw n arrow on my butt. there was this witch look alike lady with white hair standing outside my window. for tt moment i tot she was cupid cuz i saw e arrow n bow in her hand. i plucked out e arrow n cont sleepin after closing my windows. i thoguht she was harmless n since e windows were well locked again, she couldnt possibly disturb me again. suddenly more arrows came in. my window was wide open. some how she managed to break e lock, n open up my window. i saw her pointing the bow at me. instead of arrow, now she was shootin something big n round at me. i couldnt c wad it was. it was flyin towards me. faster n faster. she was grinnin happily. her expression so evil. i screamed. nobody came. i couldnt do anything else...

then i jumped up from my slp. omg can. so scary. they say u dream of wad u think in e day. but i dun think about such things! grrrrrrrrrr that's y i always cant slp well at nitez unless im super tired.

haha seems like such a long time since i last blogged. seems like there's nothing much to blog bout also. haha except mayb to grumble about my professors and lab reports. but grumbling isnt goin to help also i guess. so sick and tired of havin problematic nmr spectrums with missing values. have to think so long to smoke thru e values. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lab is just so problematic sometimes n this totally make me wan slp my time away than to do my report. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr n with a prof who loves to tell 'jokes' n 'analogy' tt nobody laughs n understand is a bigger headache. u catch no ball during lect. worse, u need to play a game of spot e diff durin lect. spotting e diff btw his notes n our notes. da bian. revised only after we print out e notes. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr n his notes are self written! by him! OMG. n readin thru it, i have absolutely zero idea wad m i supposed to noe n wad m i learning.

have u ever wondered if u haven been afraid to take certain path, would ur life changed for e better? sometimes i cant help but wonder if i haven chosen chem n had chosen engineering, would i be more interested in my work next time. i simply love all e big big things that they get from putting all e small small things tgt n e fact tt something so big actually operates cuz of so many small chips functioning at e same time. but at e same time i love obtaining crystals. esp when e yield is super alot. haha ironic. if i haven been afraid, how diff would things be? hmm but at least im graduating soon haha..call me mad scientist next time

i feel happy today..probably cuz i get to stay at home, do things at my own pace, n i get to eat maggie mee while watchin tv later. after e 2 tests. n of course e bonus tt no report is due this wk, i finally dun feel so suffocated muahahaha..but there's still plenty of mb tut to catch up with n e online lect. n its time to worry about my grades since i feel so cui-ed for all my tests. no guarantee i can maintain my grades. bt im tryin. hmmm n its time to settle down n think what do i want for my mini fyp and research..

i guess im nt really a v lab person. but somehow i seem to have settle down. kind of understood that being a scientist means u most prob have to work in a lab next time. either that or u become a teacher. kind of rmb again hw much i love chem last time. reports are still a dread, but i no longer hate them as much as last time. labs are still tiring after battling with e chemicals for 6 h but there is this strange sense of satisfication when i saw e crystals ive obtained.n i shall nt laugh at anyone crystals anymore. for evt i laughed at somebody, my crystals immediately turn uber ugly. this is call karma i guess. haha n this sem's lab probably made more enjoyable by del. glad that she's there to talk to me during e long breaks otherwise i will be so bored. n rasyidah e hamtaro who's super cute. once again im thankful that nice ppl are around me. nothing makes life more pleasant than being surrounded by nice ppl =)

so its back to e same qns..chiba? org or inorg? haha i hope i wouldnt grumble much when research starts. have to settle down by may. probably a short trip with tennis girls to redang before e research starts? haha n another trip to tw with my cousins after it ends? in one yr i will be graduating. im enjoying my student life now. grumbling about sch work n professors n being stupid at times. haha enjoy it while i can. before all e responsibilty of adult life crashes down. i kind of understand this logic nw. u might envy my naive-ness and e fact that im blur until cant blur without a need to act blur at all. im thankful that i do not have to witness so many ugly things myself too. many a times i listen cuz i care. i care not because i expect anything in return. i just want u people to be happy. nothing beats having happy frens ard me. besides that, hearing bout em serves as a reminder that life's not always a bed of roses. but some how u got to learn to be able to adjust ur own moods quickly. learn to smile despite being affected. no im not sayin u have to mask ur unhappiness. what i meant is that learn to let go of all the unhappy things. there's more to life than what meets e eyes. being troubled is part of life. but being loved by ppl whom u care is wad matters e most. dun trap urself in misery. there's many greater challenges awaiting u, many beautiful things out there. free urself n u can be so very happy. dun lose e child in u. that's e most beautiful part of a soul. dun colour your life in black n white when you get to paint rainbows in it.

its cny n this yr's cny was slightly different.everywhere we go visiting, we will start flippin old photo albums n laughin at one another

it rained heavily just before i alight e bus. n well done! my umbrella was nt in my bag. to get to my tutee's hse, i had to walk a little dist from e bus stop n e route was nt sheltered except for a bus stop in e middle of e route. i tot of cancellin tuition bt decided against it cuz it was so last min. so i walked in e heavy rain stopin at e bus stop for a while before continuin again. reached my tutee's condo's lift, shook myself dry haha.. it was tt bad. my tutee's mum saw me n commented wow u perspired alot hahaha.. i couldnt stop laughing. dey offered me a towel n my tutees offered me a brownie they baked themselves! =) wah so happy! hahaha though i can sense someone scoldin me sick still eat brownie, still walk in e rain.. haha plus e fact today is pay day.. sy is happy! n before i went home e mum actually offered to drive me to a mrt station since she goin there to pick her hubby up. bt she oso v cute la. e mrt station she offered was dover. i was like huh! eh its ok i live on e other side.. totally in shock every is so nice today. i feel so pai seh

yesterday we went vivo in search of loo's pencil case.haha n in e end we gt more than what we were lookin for n spent more than what we were prepared to n had more fun den we had in a while

went shoppin with loo at bugis n town on fri 25th jul ..OMG e things we bought were so similar la hahaha..cant imagine wad will happen if we wear e same stuff to sch on e same day next sem..it was great retail therapy though i still cant figure out e idea y im moody up till nw haha bt money can b earned back so i shall just cont with my shoppin

saw many ntu union camps peeps who were havin their amazin race, ludin freddie who alight from e bus no 7 we were boardin

went to town to celebrate siyin's bdae with loo, by n her king haha and we had yummy teppanyaki hahaha it was super nice n fillin to e max with a funny chef who burnt an oyster just cuz ms koh wants it to b more cooked...hahaha

e taiwan trip...

while waiting to board e plane haha

it was my 1st time on a plane so joan nicely gave up her window seat for me =)
bt e ear pressure was intolerable both times on e plane

e clouds that look like marshmellow...

when we reached taoyuan international airport and was lookin for our luggage,
i realised tt my luggage didnt have e tag tt everyone's luggage has..
haha cuz my luggage's handle was broken during e flight -_-
gd service...
and while waiting for others' luggage, we saw e broken handle on e conveyor belt...

on e bus to our hotel...

after we check in and unloaded our luggage, we immediately head out to shih lin night market wahaha...was super excited...

then e tour guide brought us to a shop selling pineapple tarts n other tw goodies..
e shop has e tw president's guarantee haha..
n its really nice =)

it was mainly e gers' stuff..bt luckily e guys were there to help us carry

e itinerary today was to jiu fen..
a quaint little town with many shop houses n a view of e pacific ocean..

we gt a railway ticket for 12 plus so we had bout 1 h to shop at di xia jie again..

bt we overshot e timing..
n we had to walk real quick to catch our railway train haha
n guess wad?!
we took e wrong train
n by e time we realised tt, e train has already started movin
luckily one of e train conductor walked over to our cabin n save us haha
he told us wad train to take after we alight
n he even walkie talkie-d someone for us to confirm tt we haven miss e train
bt he went "oh i have 6 tourists over here we board e wrong train"
n we were super pai seh
n it was a real adventure cuz we were supposed to run up e escalator n go down another, to catch e train to our destination cuz e arrival timings of both trains were v close

There was a bbq sometime back with e imm ppl. At a place tt doesnt feel like singapore at all. Away from all e hdb flats and busy roads, the place was like so so so out of e lala land =)

my 1st tot was, " gd place for playing soccer "LOL
haha this place is so similar to my ideal dream house with e clear blue sky and e nice scenery. bt it lacks a garden
somehow the ppl staying there loves to own a dog. but luckily this is a v mild golden retriever so there was no need for me to dodge the dog haha

e food we had that night plus rei's swollen feet haha

i have no idea y we wore e same colour combi that day. before that was the butterfly earrings. maybe this is call mo qi haha

after every outing, im seem to understand e ppl ard me abit more haha
so im happy for all e meet ups so far =)
n im glad tt ppl dun find it diff to tok to me haha

checkin out some new albums, readin e reviews
n nt to forget readin up on tw n next sem's mod
head feels big after tt haha
bt was happy with my "catch" wahaha
dey make me so excited bout tw..
realised tt i haven been listenin to e radio for a long time le
many great albums out there
like lin you jia. xiao jing teng n liu li yang!

i feel refreshed!

sometimes, ppl's actions hurt
no idea y ppl avoid her like she is has e plague
if it is so obvious den mayb she's nt wrong afterall
mayb ppl feels tt she's a weirdo/she's too ashamed to b seen with
bt she already sees no pt in justfyin e ppl's actions
bt after many times, all e hurt turns numb n she pretends its hatred
she loses confidence in herself, findin fault with herself for anything gone wrong
she puts on a smile n faces e rest with as much happiness she could gather
